| From the back car park of the George Borrow Hotel follow the farm access track, passing through gates, until after 700 yards you come to the buildings of Bryn Bras farm. |

| Turn left at the farm and in front of you see two gates enclosing an overgrown lane. Go through the two gates, cross the stream and go half right just above the boggy ground until after about 100 yards you meet a path at the bottom of the hillside. Turn right, west, along this path for about 500 yards until, after a short ascent, you come to a tarmac lane at a cattle grid |

| Turn right at the lane, cross the cattle grid and walk past some houses until after about 500 yards you see a path signpost on your left pointing left into the field. |

| Follow an indistinct path up through the field, curving around to the fence and a gate at the top. Go through the gate and look for another gate which will take you up through a field to a fence on the edge of the hill and moorland. Walks a short distance along the fence to a stile on to the hill |

| Cross the stile onto the hill and walk to the right, gently upwards mainly along the contour (there is a difficult to distinguish path). After a few hundred yards you will come to a track above a moorland valley. Turn left along the track and after a few hundred yards, at the head of the valley walk directly upwards for about two hundred yards to the stile adjoining a group of conifers you will soon see. You will be crossing heather and purple moor grass tussocks, there is no discernible path |

| Cross the stile and go around the corner of the conifers, after a few yards walk up an old spoil heap and see a marker post in about a hundred yards. A few yards after the marker post start descending the hill to the path which is at the edge of the moorland vegetation, above a field. Turn right along this path for perhaps a hundred yards and then descend the short distance to the metal fenced sheep fold below you to arrive at a tarmacced road. |

| Walk down the road along Llyn yr oerfa and keep right a farm track when the tarmacced road veers left. Proceed on the track well beyond the Llyn until it turns sharp right with a gate directly ahead of you. |

| Go through the gate and follow the path downwards above the fields and more or less alongside the woods until you reach a final steepish section down a field to a tarmac road. |

| Turn left along the road, keep right at the first junction and keep on the road as it goes around the outskirt of Ystumtuen and walk along until you arrive at an old mine spoil dump on the right. Just beyond this point there is a way marked sign and gate on your right. |

| Go through the gate and follow the path upwards, past the Bryn Bras pool and onwards up the hill over styles until you finally arrive at a field with a stone circle in it,just beyond your current point. |

| At the edge of the field go to the ancient stone circle about 60 yards ahead of you |

| At the stone circle, with your back to the Rheidol Valley, go half right and find the gate in the fence about 60 yards away. Follow the path through the gate and carefully find it and follow it as it does down a few yards before commencing to ascend the side of the Bryn Brass hill. Look carefully for the path and follow it to its highest point and then use it to descend the hill to a gate in the fence which overlooks the farm which was your first waypoint on commencingthe walk. |
